How The ISF Academy is Using AI to Supercharge its Metaverse Program

Our collaboration with The ISF Academy began years ago with a shared passion for pushing the boundaries of what a classroom can be. Together, we’ve proudly supported their pioneering metaverse program, where students use The Sandbox to build incredible worlds that champion the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This program has been a phenomenal success, fostering immense creativity and engagement. But this success brought a new challenge: a "brilliant bottleneck." A single instructor faced a flood of diverse questions, stretching their capacity to provide the deep, personalized mentorship every student deserves.

Building on our successful partnership, we knew we could help. For the coming school year, we are thrilled to be upgrading the platform with a powerful, multi-agent AI ecosystem. The goal is clear: to dramatically increase instructor productivity while creating an even more dynamic and supportive learning environment.

This upgrade introduces a team of three distinct AI assistants, each designed to deliver specific benefits:

To free up valuable class time, students need instant answers to their day-to-day school questions. This agent, trained on The ISF Academy's information, acts as a 24/7 front desk for queries like attendance policies, bus schedules, or main office contacts. This empowers student independence and directly contributes to increasing the productivity of our instructor by handling logistical questions automatically.

2. The Sandbox AI: The On-Demand Technical Expert

Creative flow is fragile. This technical expert for The Sandbox provides instant answers to questions about building mechanics, like VoxEdit limits or game rules. By removing technical roadblocks, students stay focused and engaged in the creative process. This directly leads to accelerating the metaverse experience creation, as students spend more time building and less time being stuck.

3. The UN SDG Expert: The Purpose-Driven Brainstorming Partner

The heart of the program is building with purpose. This agent acts as a brainstorming partner, expertly helping students identify the most suitable UN SDG goal for their narrative. When a student is passionate about saving polar bears, the agent guides them through the nuances of SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 14 (Life Below Water), deepening their learning and the impact of their story.
